Since Jan 2020 the world has experienced the alarming spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had devastating consequences. Countries everywhere in the world are still grappling with this virus and running on full steam to step up their healthcare systems, which are bursting at the seams due to their inability to manage the large number of people infected. Regrettably, the pandemic has disrupted the lives of millions of people across the world. There is an urgent need to gather forces and put forth our learnings to try and manage—if not avert—future disasters.

This monograph captures views of the speakers and panelists invited for a forum at Equitable Healthcare Access Consortium (EHAC) to share their knowledge and learnings with the rest of the world. By bringing out this monograph, we hope to advocate the changes that need to be made top-down in our system to ensure that we avoid future pandemics and at least be in a state of preparedness going forward.
